Helicopter export & import
APEX moves pre-owned and owner-supplied Robinson helicopters both directions through Fort Lauderdale Executive or Danbury Municipal: disassembly, crating, and export documentation on the way out; container receiving, reassembly, and test flight on the way in. One team handles the aircraft and the paperwork, with Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking staff.
Two bases, multiple ports
APEX has the capability to send and receive Robinson helicopters at both locations. Shipping to Europe, naturally the Northeast may be more economical. Importing from Latin America, choose our South Florida location.
How an export runs
- Pre-shipment inspection + photo documentation
- Coordination and production of export documentation
- Disassembly: blades, mast, tail, per Robinson practice
- Preservation + custom cradles and blade crates
- Container load, blocking and tie-down
Note: Aircraft is disassembled to provide the simplest reassembly. Direction-sensitive components are marked and hardware is labeled.

Found the right pre-owned Robinson overseas? The reverse trip runs through the same hangar: APEX receives the container, reassembles, inspects, and test-runs the aircraft. At that point APEX coordinates with an FAA DAR to produce an airworthiness certificate.
New Robinsons are the factory's business
Robinson moves new helicopters internationally through its own dealer network, both directions. A new Robinson ordered from APEX isn't one we can crate and ship overseas, and new aircraft abroad come from the factory's dealers there; this service is for pre-owned and owner aircraft.
