What is helicopter salvage?

Salvage is what happens to a damaged aircraft after the recovery, assessing it, protecting its remaining value, and deciding repair, part-out, or write-off. Done by an authorized Robinson service center, the aircraft is lifted, secured and transported in a manner which retains value.
